Thanks to photographer Dave Allison for this fine shot of the Pavilion with the lights back on.

Restored by the Scottish Historic Buildings Trust (see The Restoration), the Pavilion is now a stunning venue for:

It also houses the acclaimed RedPoppy Restaurant

Strathpeffer is in the former county of Ross & Cromarty, which crosses the Highlands from east coast to west and, according to Scottish Development International, there are few places in Britain that can rival the quality of life it offers. Because of its unusual spa history, the village also offers an extensive choice of visitor accommodation.

You will find more information about our unique Highland village in the section About Strathpeffer, along with information about places to eat, other things to see and do in Strathpeffer and links to other websites you might find of interest.

Thanks to photographer
Andrew Dowsett for this shot of the first Ross & Cromarty Heritage Fair, held in the Pavilion in March 2005

Work in the Pavilion

In due course there will doubtless be a number of employment opportunities in the Pavilion - for the moment we need occasional staff for the bar, as stewards and as general assistants  for evening and weekend events.  If you would like to work in the Pavilion, get in touch with the SPA office in the Pavilion, or you can print out an application form  from this website.

We would also love to hear from anyone who would like to volunteer to help with events in the Pavilion!

This site is the proud winner of a Golden Web Award from the International Association of Web Masters and Designers, in recognition of creativity, integrity and excellence on the Web.  It has also been chosen as "Website of the Month" by Scotland Internet and the Scottish Rural Gateway

Have you Danced at the Pavilion?

Do you remember the dances, the concerts, the Highland Cabaret?  If so, share your memories with us.  People all over the North and beyond have fond memories of events in the Pavilion.  Why not take a look at Arthur Scott's fascinating website  The Strath, where he lists all the performers in the Pavilion from 1960 to 1979.

Talk to Us!

Click on Get in Touch to find out how to reach us.  We would especially like to hear from you if you ever performed in the Pavilion, or if you are prepared to organise a fund-raising event.  You can also use the Guest Book to post messages you would like others to read.  Why not use it to try to get in touch with people you used to meet at the Pavilion, or old friends who have a Strathpeffer connection and might visit the site.

We often hear from people who have memories of the Pavilion's past but its future clearly lies in the hands of the younger generation and so we would like to hear from them too.  Meantime many young people are taking part in events in the Pavilion as well as attending events - see our Youth Page.

Photographs

Many thanks to the increasing number of people who have supplied photographs for this Website.  Do you have a good photograph of the Pavilion, or indeed of Strathpeffer?  Would you like to see it on the Web?  If so, send it to us and we will publish the best ones.

Thanks to Undiscovered Scotland for permission to use the picture shown here.  The photograph in the website frame, of the Pavilion before restoration, is used courtesy of Scottish Screen

The Pavilion's Arts programme for 2008 is

Strathpeffer Pavillion is not how to spell us (too many "els") but I am putting this in just so that people who use the wrong spelling will still find us!  Maybe I had better mention Strathpepher too, for the same reason.  Or even Stratphepeffer - a very creative effort by Declan Nerney's Webmaster!  Perhaps there are also people who need help on how to spell Ross-shire (which I have just seen written as "Rothshyr"!) or Ross & Cromarty
