Highland Cabaret
In the 1960s and '70s, the Pavilion used to hold a Highland Cabaret, which was popular with both visitors and local residents. Strathpeffer resident Mrs. Irene Brown (who used to sing in the cabaret) kindly gave us a programme (probably from the 1970s) and these photographs are taken from it.

Dorothy Gollan's Ben Wyvis Highland dancers. Many people remember attending Dorothy Gollan's dance classes, as well as seeing her dancers perform in the Pavilion.

Accordionist John M. MacDonald

and soprano Irene Brown, who kindly gave us the cabaret programme.
Although he does not appear in this particular programme, popular Ross-shire comedian the late John Urquhart - or "Johnny Bogan" as he was known - appeared in many Highland Cabaret programmes at the Pavilion. The poster at the top of this page was kindly supplied by Mrs. Betty Urquhart.
