"Strathpeffer lies in the lap of the hills, in the Heart of the Highlands, between the heather and the sea" (Ross-shire Journal publication, 1909)

Performing Arts

The main hall as set up by Eden Court staff for a stunning performance by Motionhouse Dance TheatreThe Pavilion's main hall is one of the largest performing arts spaces in the Highlands, and with movable seating (except in the balcony), which gives it a great deal of flexibility.  The main hall is licensed for 310 seated and 624 standing.  An additional 36 can be seated on the balcony.

We also now have our own lightweight modular stage (Litedeck), which gives additional flexibility.  On occasions when visiting companies have not needed a stage (or have brought their own), the Pavilion staging has been used to make platforms for audience seating and improve line of sight.  Raked seating is on our shopping list!  However, the first priority is to install appropriate production sound and lighting in the Main Hall and this is currently in progress.
