RedPoppy Restaurant @ the Pavilion
In the Pavilion, as its name implies (entrance on the bandstand/Pump Room side of the Pavilion, towards the back). Chef/proprietor Nick Aburrow offers an interesting and varied menu. Hours are currently: Tuesday to Thursday from 12 noon to 3 pm and 5 pm to 8 pm); Friday from 12 noon to 3 pm and 5 pm to 9 pm; Saturday from 12 noon straight through till 9 pm; and Sunday (lunch only) from 12.30 to 3.30 pm. Highland Hotel
The Highland Hotel is now open to non-residents, offering snacks from 10 am to 10 pm and a selection of hot food from 12 noon to 5 pm, which you can enjoy in the hotel's wood-panelled bar with lovely views over the village and beyond.

Richmond Hotel
Phil and Sarina, who have recently taken over the Richmond Hotel, are now offering restaurant and bar meal facilities to non-residents on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 6 to 9 pm. They also offer a specialist Mauritian menu on Saturday evenings.

Coffee Shops / Tearooms
Coffee Shop, in Cromartie Buildings, just off the Square in the direction of Dingwall. Mark and Anja offer a range of hot and cold snacks and pastries and are currently open from 10.30 am to 4 pm, daily except Mondays and Fridays. Opening hours will be extended from March, when Mark will also re-open his coffee shop and takeaway from the former water sampling pavilion in Strathpeffer Square.

Museum Coffee Shop, beside the Highland Museum of Childhood at the picturesque Old Station. Catherine offers the finest home cooking and baking for breakfast, morning coffees, light lunches, afternoon teas and take-aways. The Coffee Shop is now open daily from 10 am to 5 pm, and at other times for private bookings, by arrangement.

The Wee Swally, in White Lodge, the Square (use the side entrance in Church Brae). This is a Victorian tearoom with a delightful atmosphere and home baking plus soup at lunch-time. From early April, they are usually open throughout the summer "from 11-ish to 4-ish" Tuesday to Friday and "from 12 noon-ish to 4-ish" on Saturday.
