RedPoppy Restaurant @ the Pavilion
In the Pavilion, as its name implies (entrance on the bandstand/Pump Room side of the Pavilion, towards the back). Chef/proprietor Nick Aburrow offers an interesting and varied menu. Hours are normally: Tuesday to Thursday from 11 am to 8 pm (lunch and coffee shop menus until 5 pm, dinner menu only thereafter); Friday and Saturday from 11 am to 9 pm; Sunday (lunch only) from 12.30 to 3.30 pm. Richmond Hotel
Church Brae (the lower end of Golf Course Road), on the left as you go up the hill. Heather and Jeremy Firth tell us that their restaurant is now open from 6pm - 9.30pm daily (except Tuesday) and offers lunch on Saturday and Sunday from 12.30pm - 3.00pm - see their website for menu. Coffee Shop, in Cromartie Buildings, just off the Square in the direction of Dingwall. Mark and Anja offer a range of hot and cold snacks and pastries and open from 10 am to 9 pm, daily from March to October.

Maya, Strathpeffer's Belgian Chocolate Shop, opposite the Pavilion. Famous for its hot chocolate "to die for". See Maitre Chocolatier Fabienne De Mulder making exquisite chocolates (now with over 35 different fillings). Maya also serves tea and coffee and a range of small cakes - all handmade on the premises. Open from 10 am to 5 pm Tuesday to Saturday. Maya also has its own website, with mouthwatering pictures!

Museum Coffee Shop, beside the Highland Museum of Childhood at the picturesque Old Station. Catherine offers the finest home cooking and baking for breakfast, morning coffees, light lunches, afternoon teas and take-aways. Currently open 10 am to 5 pm Thursdays to Sundays only.

The Wee Swally, in White Lodge, the Square (use the side entrance in Church Brae). This is a Victorian tearoom with a delightful atmosphere and home baking plus soup at lunch-time. From early April, they are usually open "from 11-ish to 4-ish" Tuesday to Friday and "from 12 noon-ish to 4-ish" on Saturday.
